Saturday June 8th, 10-4:30 pm.
RE-Made is a monthly workshop series, designed to inspire participants to look at their clothing in a new light. Not only will you utilize garments that would otherwise go to waste, but with the growing trend of sustainable handcrafted fashion, you will create work that is modern and completely original! This series is instructed by avid up-cycler, Robyn Dombey of Blue Bangs Shop.
In this second workshop, students will manipulate and up-cycle sweatshirts for a new modern look. In this class students will leave with an understanding of knit fabric construction and properties, and learn techniques such as color-blocking, splicing, installing grommets and more!
Please come prepared with:
Sewing supplies: pins, scissors, ruler, sewing thread.
2 Sweatshirts - recommend colorful choices if color-blocking is important to you!
Strongly recommend prior sewing experience for this workshop.
